My Planet Eco’s mission is simply to be a virtual super mall for environmentally and eco friendly products and technology; your first choice, and branded as the definitive choice for ‘green’ products. Starting small and with a simple business model, My Planet Eco will proactively seek customer input for product selection and site content.

I have personally selected products that are made from organic materials; products grown with no pesticides and chemicals, products made from recycled materials, manufactured with little or no negative effects on the environment, can be recycled easily or disposed of with limited or no effects on the environment.

Most of the suppliers have certification from highly recognized and respected institutions or government agencies, certifying their status as ‘green’. All have been in business over 5 years and have a proven track record as manufacturing ‘green’ products.

By selling your favorite ‘green’ products under one virtual roof, we offer convenience and partnering with PayPal, your online transactions are the safest possible. If you don’t see your favorite product(s), write to products@myplaneteco.com and I will contact the manufacturer.

My Planet Eco will not manufacture products or technology. Instead My Planet Eco will proactively identify and sell existing products that meet the ‘green’ standard. The selection process includes only companies which drop ship as a distribution channel, eliminating unnecessary shipping products multiple times or requiring additional warehouse floor space.

My Planet Eco believes all other methods of distribution contribute unnecessarily to increased green house gases. My Planet Eco will function as the virtual store front for many manufacturers, insisting their products are shipped directly from production to your door.

Over the next several months, we will work to improve the functionality of the site, and with customer input, migrate to Web 2.0, relying heavily on social networking (Flickers, Twitters, RSSs, Videos, Blogs, etc.) and viral marketing, increasing product selection and building a world class customer service operation.

My Planet Eco is offering funding to various worthy and social causes. University clubs, non-profit and non-government organizations and other worthy causes are eligible to receive up to 20% of My Planet Eco’s gross profits (from the first $1, before taxes and expenses) and paid to the organization quarterly. All interested organization should inquire at fundraising@myplaneteco.com.
