We have selected products based on the method of production, ingredients and content, packaging and/or effects on the environment upon deposal. These products have been around for many years and are widely recognized as eco-friendly and/or environmentally responsible. |
We have selected manufacturers who agreed to a drop shipping distribution method. Most manufacturers offers one or a combination of several distribution methods: |
| | Affiliate Programs – manufacturers permit e-commerce companies to sell their products on their site. Each time the customer makes a purchase you leave the landing site and is directed to the manufacturer’s site. If you are making several product category purchases, each product category requires another transaction. |
| Wholesaler – manufacturers ship products from their warehouse to a location owned by the e-commerce retailer who them ships the products to you after purchasing. The problems are obvious: |
| | » | Shipping to the wholesaler increases green house gases, and may increase your final price. | » | Warehousing in a second location require more energy production and consumption, more green house gases, etc. | » | Your products have a greater chance of becoming damaged during shipping. | |
| Direct from the manufacturer – this is a good idea except, if you are making several product category purchases each product category requires a visit to another manufacturer’s site and another transaction. |
| Drop Shipping – this is the preferred method and the one that makes the most sense to My Planet Eco. We will only use drop shipping. |
Fill up your shopping cart with multiple product categories and check out once. After your transaction is complete, we notify each manufacturer of your purchase(s) and shipping address. The manufacturer ships your order from their production warehouse. |
This method means one secure transaction per order, reduces or eliminates spending so much time surfing multiple sites, no second warehouse, saves more energy and greenhouses gases, and reduces the potential of damage to the earth. |
If you do not see your favorite product(s) it could be because the manufacturer is still using a different distribution method. |
